899Movies.com is a DVD download site that isn't really doing anything new, but they offer what they have at a really low price.

The site ultimately offers members the opportunity to customize their own clips by cropping scenes taken from the thousands of DVD's organized by several different niches and studios. The creators pretty much cover every single niche with a few thrown in that I've never heard of. It's too bad that the scenes aren't organized by niche like the DVD's since some scenes contain niches that the DVD's won't cover. It's also a bummer that you can't browse through the performers featured in the movies. It's not until you find a DVD you want to download from that you're capable of filtering out the work that a particular porn star has done. However, there's no indication which scene they perform in.

The cropping mechanism that members use to make their own clips is pretty cool, but nothing new. There are other DVD download sites that offer the same thing. Here's how it works. Once you select where you'd like the clip to start and finish, you're asked if you want low, medium or high quality with the highest quality being 800k. That's not very high, is it. Not only that, but cropping clips is the only downloading option you have. However, I was pleased to see that the clip was available in a streaming format.

All of these complaints I have about the site might not necessarily hold much precedence since you're offered such a large collection of DVD's through an easy to navigate site with some different viewing options at such a low cost.
