I wish I could personally shake the hand of the genius that opened the doors to HallOfFamePorn.com. The AVN awards are great, but they just don't provide the kind of recognition all the great talent that's been providing us with the most important form of entertainment known to man deserves. The web has opened the flood gates for sluts. Porn is so diluted these days. Don't get me wrong, I love modern porn, but it's not like it used to be. And with porn's dilution comes a long list of forgotten names. Take for instance Chelci Fox, Amber Lynn, Randy Spears, Jill Kelly, Teri Weigel, and Mike Horner. These are porn pioneers that were just as important if not more important than current porn sensations you're watching these days like Sasha Grey, Lexi Belle, Tera Patrick, and Tiffany Holiday. It's about time all of these legendary perverts are given the recognition they deserve.

HallOfFamePorn.com does an excellent job of incorporating the hall of fame with a gigantic archive of classic scenes. When I say classic, I mean scenes both modern and retro that will go down in history as classics. The homepage contains a navigation menu, drop-down menus, latest news, the latest video, the latest showcase, and some Hall of Fame stuff. The navigation menu directs members to the hall of fame nominees, the actual hall of fame, the video section, and the showcases.

The nominees section allows members to choose who they feel should be inducted into the hall. The process happens every month with members encouraged to select four of their favorite performers from a long list of stars. Once those results are in, the four most requested stars are presented as nominees. Members than vote on the one pornstar from the group of four that should be inducted. The actual hall presents members with the performers that have been inducted into the hall all the way back to when the site was launched in October of '07. Porn icons like John Holmes, Seka, Ron Jeremy, Jenna Jameson, and Christy Canyon can be found featured in the hall. Clicking on a performers headshot directs members to the work they've done.

The videos in the video section are organized by update across several pages. Clicking on a thumbnail representing a scene directs members to the scene's profile which presents members with the video, the cast, the featured performers biography, the scene's rating, the scene's categories, a description of the scene, and a set of screen captures taken from the scene. I didn't like how content would open in new windows. It made the experience of navigating a bit messy, but that's personal preference. However, I imagine most feel the way I do since most sites keep things tidy in the same browser window. The videos can be watched streamed in flash or downloaded in several different formats like MP4, WMV, and AVI. The WMV files look the best, but keep in mind that the quality is only as good as the DVD rip. Some of these scenes are old and you know what that means.

The drop down menus I alluded to earlier help members to quickly select a model, scene, showcase, or website. In essence, this is a pornstar site. Therefore, it'd be nice if the pornstars were organized in rows and columns with headshots to help with identifying the star. Showcases are really nothing, but upsells. In other words, they're profiles of other pay sites. Members enjoy samplings of content in hopes that they'll join the site. At least it's organized and not in your face like other sites do it.
