This site pretty much took all of the aspects that we considered disadvantages and turned them into advantages. These changes are some of the most significant changes I've seen since I've been doing these return visits. The best adjustment they've made is their attempt at focusing more on pornstars. There's still far more focus on DVDs than pornstars, but the fact that it's easier to find pornstars having access to more browsing options makes it a step in the right direction. I was also really happy to find that they're providing digital pictures of pornstars now. The archive is tiny compared to the DVD archive, but at least it's there, right? Members are also enjoying scenes in flash. They only provided downloadable videos the last time I popped in. The flash looks good and buffers fast as well. Those aren't the only changes made either. The list of small changes that they've made that make it easier to find stuff is endless. All these changes helped to boost PornstarXS.com up a bit in the rankings.

And now on to the review...

Before getting into this review, you need to be made aware that this site is a DVD download site more so than a site to find porn stars. Don't let that discourage you from joining though. It's a fantastic site. The scope is huge. You'll never run out of stuff to watch and view. Once you become accustomed to the way the site is laid out, finding what you're looking for is made simple.

The homepage can be intimidating at first. At first glance, I had no idea where to start. There's a lot going on, but there's a purpose for everything on the page. It's packed with browsing options that make it easy for members to find what they're looking for. The homepage contains a navigation menu, advanced search engine, pornstar browser, DVD browser, scene browser, picture browser, editor choices, featured pornstars, featured scenes, and featured DVDs. See what I mean? That's a lot of stuff to pack on the homepage, but it's all there to make things easy for members. For instance, If you type in a word in the search engine and find yourself unhappy with the results, click on the advanced search link to narrow your results based on the action, clothing, setting, toys or physical appearance. Each category is the umbrella over several very specific sub-categories. However, you can't select multiple niches across different categories. Small setback, but it's just nice they provide advance filtering options. The pornstar browser allows members to search for a star by name, by rating, by type, and by favorites. The pornstar type divides the stars into different niche categories like MILF, big tits, Latin, black, Asian, filthy, etc. Members can use the scene browser to situate scenes by rating, update, name, and niche. Same with the DVD s, except that DVD s can also be arranged by studio and series. The picture browser arranges sets by update and rating.

The pornstar profiles provide members with the stars vital stats along with links to the content that she's performed in. I'm surprised that a site that focuses on pornstars doesn't provide members with more information about the performers. It's here you'll find that there's a whole lot more focus on DVDs than on pornstars. It's also evident by the size of the photo archive. It's tiny compared to the DVD archive. So small that it's really not worth commenting on at this point.

Each DVD profile lists the cast, movie details, description, thumbs from the scenes that are anchored to the scene profiles, and the scenes. The scenes come equipped with links to the niches found in the scene, featured performers, a collection of screens from the action, and the video viewing options. Members can download the scenes or stream them in flash. The flash video looks pretty good and buffers quickly. The videos can be downloaded as MP4s, WMVs, and MPEGS. The WMV files are encoded at three bit rates with the highest giving way to DVD quality video.
