We had a second look at this site on 02/12/2010 Previous Rating: 80.3 Updated Rating: 81.7 This site has grown quite a bit since our last time reviewing it back in July of '09. I'm still quite impressed with these photos. Even the videos look great. I just wish there were more movies, and it'd be nice if they were updated as frequently as the photos. In fact, no updates have come to the video section at all. However, the photo section is updating more than before, three times a week rather than two. Just be sure to check out the "hopefuls" section, cuz there's a ton more photo sets in there on top of the exclusive sets. There's not a whole lot of change to the design of this site. Aesthetically, it's still pleasing to the eye, but it could really use some sort of an advanced browsing option, like a category selection of some sort, especially with this archive growing as fast as it is.   Go To Site Now And now on to the review . . . I just purchased a one way ticket to the UK. I'm not coming back to the U.S. Don't get me wrong. I love the U.S. I grew up here. My family is here. My house is here. My life is here. However, there's one very important thing missing that I've been looking for since I was a kid and it wasn't until I entered PunkGrl.com that I realized where to find it. That "thing" is a community of gorgeous alt girls. The U.S. certainly has its fair share of alt girls, but I've never seen one that looks anywhere near as desirable as the alt girls over the pond. Want proof? Check out the massive collection of models PunkGrls.com have recruited to pose in sexy clothing and/or completely naked. One look at these jilted ladies and you'll be packing your bags to move there just like I am. One thing you need to know before you join this site is that it's not a "movie" site and it's not a "porn" site. There's no hardcore action going on in the content. As a matter of fact, a lot of these girls don't get naked. The movie section is insignificant. It's so small that it's not really even worth discussing. The pictures, on the other hand, are bad ass. I was most impressed with the photography. That's a lie. I was more impressed with their large eclectic mix of eccentric alt girls that will only pose for the photographers at PunkGrl.com. I saw picture sets featuring vamps, goth chicks, meth heads, hippies, hipsters, punks, skinheads, rock chicks, you name it and they're in here. No fakes either. These girls are the real deal. They're not hot chicks asked to "look" like punks. These troubled ladies are bad ass to the core. The site design has both its advantages and disadvantages. It's easy on the eyes with an excellent graphical layout. It also presents its members with some very unique features. Members are encouraged to leave comments. They're given access to an extensive blog that's maintained by the models. The members are even given the opportunity to contact the models personally if they'd like. The best feature about the site is the "hopefuls" section. This is where any British punk chick can submit pictures for consideration to be a PunkGrl, but only those voted on by members will actually be photographed. The site's drawbacks have to do with the way the content is organized. Everything is organized by model. The models can be situated by date added to the site, number of pics, or by name. There's no way to browse the archive of content as a whole. The movie section, as stated before is insignificant. The search engine works, but it's not real helpful. The movies are all organized in a single file column with a large thumb to represent each one. Click on the thumb and you're shown a flash player where you can stream the movie, but you still have to wait for it to buffer before you can stream the entire scene. The movie downloads are offered in two formats, each in 720p HD quality. Choosing a girl presents you with her profile that comes equipped with her tags, mods, favorites stuff, bio, and contact information. It's here where you can view the different photo sets she's been involved in, and yes, some models have done more than one set. The pictures look amazing, they're a good size and any set can be zipped up and saved to your desktop, but I don't understand why there's nothing in place to help with browsing the sets.   Go To Site Now

The Good Exclusive alt girl content inside of a very unique site. Lots of model stats and member interaction including model contact info. Top notch photography and very nice looking pictures. The Bad Very small video archive. Lack of content browsing options. Bottom Line This is one of the more unique photography sites I've seen. I love the member interaction.
