Girls have gotta get their start somewhere, so why not have Step1Models.com take care of them where they're guaranteed to be treated with respect. Any model getting her start here will never be asked to do anything she's uncomfortable with doing. Some models have no problem bumping uglies on camera while others while others won't get naked. Each model is different. However, the one thing each model has in common is that they're all teen and they're all gorgeous. The dudes running the site don't settle. They also do all the recruiting, casting, filming, photography, and web design themselves. Nothing is outsourced here. Therefore, members are enjoying an exclusive experience unlike most they're going to find online. The group of models featured in the site's content in here got their start here. In other words, you're not going to see them anywhere else and you've never seen them on the web anywhere else.

The only drawback to these guys doing everything on their own is that their inexperience is about as evident as the inexperience of the models they're shooting. Everything from the site design to the photography is amateur. Logging into the site directs members to a homepage with a navigation menu, streaming video preview of the site's content, the latest video, twitter feeds, and a sampling of models. The menu directs members to the "about us" section, model listing, blog, friends, and wallpapers. I enjoyed reading the background information about the "long lost brothers" running the site. They instantly made me feel welcome and gave me a good sense of what the site is all about. The model section is where the content is found. This content can only be accessed by model name. There are no browsing options in place. No video section. No picture section. There's no way to organize the content by update or any other way. The models are organized in alphabetical order by first name with a headshot accompanied by their content count and the date of their latest work. Clicking on a headshot presents members with the model's work. Each set comes with an informative description and link to their content. Their content profile comes equipped with a scale for rating, a short streaming video preview of the shoot, link to the digital picture gallery, and links to the videos. The scenes aren't available in full. They're only available in clips. They also can't be streamed in flash like the preview can be. They can only be downloaded. However, the scenes are encoded in HD that looks great! Not all of scenes come equipped with a digital picture set. Right now, only about half of the scenes have an accompanying picture set. The photos are too small and there isn't any way to browse through them.

Though it's obvious these guys use top notch equipment to shoot content, the end result isn't always as impressive as I was hoping it'd be. Some of it has to do with content quality (poor lighting, unflattering camera angles, bland settings, etc), but what I found most evident was the photographer's inability to get these amateurs to adapt to being naked. If a model doesn't have natural sex appeal she'll appear stiff. the poses don't seem natural. Therefore, there's a lack of "sexiness". One can argue it's due to each girl's inexperience, but I've seen other sites with first timers that look much more comfortable than these girls do. Don't get me wrong. There are some seriously sexy women in here, but with a site this small and with such a small assortment of models, they need to focus a little harder on getting the girls lacking natural sex appeal to feel sexy. Because at the end of the day, that's all members are looking for.
