The move is over. It's quite a stressful/exciting/nerve-racking/emotional journey to move your family and business across the country. But we're finally settled in San Diego. I still can't get over how gorgeous it is here. And it's winter.
Threw a new gay program from Sic Cash called Rainbow Revenue into the mix. Not a bad first month's showing. Some nice looking niche gay sites in their program.
Yes, Google was fluctuating alot last month. You were not alone in your assumption that adult was moving and shaking in the serps. Everyone I know was affected, big and small. Seems that as of December 1st that things have sorted themselves out and gotten back to a more normal way of SE life. A tip for those of you who rely solely on the acquisition of SE traffic: don't put all your eggs in one basket! Branch out, make some niche trades, be consistant with your business and you'll gain bookmarkers which are the lifeblood of a successful, long-term adult biz strategy. Patience and consistancy are key. Don't worry if you aren't making shit the first year you are running your site. Keep going with it. A friend of mine was playing around with adult back in 1997 when I was getting things going. He started with some ideas, got bored with it, came up with other non-adult things to do and kicked himself hard when 5 years later he tried again and found success. But, he had to work 10x harder in 2002 because of the increased competition. Moral of the story is that you need to stick it out. Times will get hard, boring, demanding, non-lucrative. But don't quit. Quitters never amount to shit. You've got to be anal with your strategy and that means forging through rough times with a consistant goal.
